Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. She spent the majority of her youth listening to music from the past and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic music and classic classical music. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. Her mother taught her to sing, however she started intensive vocal training through Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera singer and tenor. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was a member of many opera choruses and chamber ensembles. After moving from Mexico to the United States at the age of 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher she has volunteered for numerous community projects because of her love and enthusiasm for music. Ana is a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially for the young generation in keeping the music vibrant.
